The deadly Chagas disease, formerly limited to Central and South America, is now spreading to the U.S. with an estimated 300,000 cases nationwide. Northern Virginia has been described as “ground zero” for the disease. Its vector, the kissing bug, has been found in Texas, Arizona and California.
A DHS Office of Inspector General report states that border agents and their families are contracting the diseases and parasites brought in by illegals. A border agent and others in Texas have contracted TB.
